The ASME Boiler Superheater made of 12Cr1MovG is designed for reliable maintenance and replacement applications in power plant systems.
In fossil fuel power plants, the superheater section is located in the steam generating furnace. Steam passes through drying equipment in the steam drum before entering the superheater tubes, where it absorbs additional energy from hot flue gases, raising its temperature above the saturation point.
Power plant furnaces may include a reheater section where exhaust steam from the high-pressure turbine passes through heated tubes to gain additional energy before driving intermediate and low-pressure turbines.
Superheater serpentine tube panels are available in two primary installation types:
Type | Advantages | Disadvantages | Supporting Method |
---|---|---|---|
Pendant-type | Firm structural support | Flow blockage by condensed steam; Requires slow restart to purge accumulated water | Supported from above |
Inverted-type | Proper drainage of condensed steam | Lacks structural rigidity in high speed gas flow | Supported from below |
Horizontal-type | Proper drainage; Good structural rigidity | Does not view flame directly (mainly convective type) | Supported in vertical gas ducts parallel to main furnace |
With over 30 years of experience, our boiler superheaters and reheaters feature continuous improvements in bending, welding, and design techniques to meet both European and American standards for reliable performance.
Available materials for superheater & reheater fabrication:
Standard tube diameter range: 32-42mm
