Superheating system Superheater Coil

  • Superheater tube wall metal in the boiler pressure parts under the highest temperature, so must use high temperature resistance of high quality low carbon steel and various chromium molybdenum alloy steel, etc., in the highest temperature part sometimes with austenitic chromium nickel stainless steel. During boiler operation, if the temperature of the pipeline exceeds the temperature limit allowed by the durable strength, fatigue strength or surface oxidation of the material, accidents such as pipeline burst will occur.

Desuperheating syste

  • Three major systems are adopted the world over: the injection type, the flue gas flow diverting type, and the burner tilt. The last two are adopted for reheater steam temperature control. The first one is adopted for superheater temperature control.
  • It also used in reheaters during emergencies when there is a need to quench the temperature even after reaching the maximum of control on the normal system adopted.
  • The material selection for the superheater before the injection will be greatly influenced by the quantity of injection.

Superheaters and reheaters are important parts for the heating surfaces, used to increase steam temperature, aiming to improve steam enthalpy and further to increase the thermal circulation efficiency for power station.

 

Superheaters work to heat surnatured steam to superheated steam with a certain tempetature. When boiler loads or other working conditions change, it is necessary to make sure superheated steam temperature to be normal, and within allowable range of temperature variation.

 

From the thermal circulation in power station, the original parameters of pressure and temperature is higher, the thermal efficiency of circulation is better, or the steam humidity of the steam turbine rear is too high, influencing its safety. While the superheaer steam temperature is limited by metal materials, at present, due to limitation of metal materials, superheated temperature for most power station boilers are still within the range of 540-555 dgrees, and to avoid the steam humidity of blade of steam turbine rear too big, thus middle reheating system is applied.
