The superheater is one component in the boiler that serves to further heat the steam to produce steam that meets the requirements for turning turbines.
The superheater is a collection of boiler pipes located in the flow of hot gas from combustion. The heat from this gas is transferred to Saturated Steam in the superheater pipe, so it turns into superheated steam.
Boiler Superheater’s Manufacturing
Our superheaters are manufactured according to the ASME Regulations. HDB manufactures both coil type and shell type superheaters depending upon the type of boiler and boiler capacity.
Coil type superheaters design generally consists of 180° coils welded through the headers on both the sides. In a coil type designs steam is inside the coil and flue gases are outside the coil.
Shell type superheaters design generally used to superheat the steam electrically using special heating elements stacked in a shell and the steam flows over the heating elements.

Description:
In power station boilers, the effect of superheaters is to heat the steam to certain temperature for higher efficiency of the power station. Reheaters are steam superheaters to reheat the over-worked long-pressure or middle-pressure steam to certain temperature. The use of rehearters can further improve heat power of the power station circulating and control the steam temperature of the end blades of the steam turbine within allowed range.
