Product Introduction of superheater Coil
Superheating raises overall efficiency as well as avoids too much condensation in last stages of turbine which avoids blade erosion.
The heat of combustion gases from furnace is utilised for removal of moisture from steam and to superheat the steam.
Super-heaters ususlly have several tube circuits in parallel with one or more return bends,connected between headers.
Heat from the hot gases to the vapour in the surperheater is transferred at high temperatures.
Therefore promary section of superheater is arranged in counterflow and secondary section in parallel flow to reduce the temp.stressing of the tube wall.
Principle of superheater Coil
Principle of superheater is similar to steam generating tubes of boiler.
The hot gases at high temperature sweep over superheater tubes and raise the temperature of steam which magnitude depends upon exit gas temperature leaving the superheater and gas velocity.
use for heating saturated steam, steam temperature could be up to 900 degree C.

Characteristics of superheater Coil
- Coal combustion of high temperature flue gas released by the flue entrance to waste heat boiler, and then through the superheater, evaporator and economizer, and finally by the chimney discharged into the atmosphere, exhaust smoke temperature is 150 ~ 180 ℃, the flue gas temperature from high temperature to the heat release by the exhaust temperature is used to make water into steam.
- The boiler feed water first enters the economizer in which the water absorbs heat and heats up to a saturation temperature slightly below the drum pressure and enters the drum.
- After the water entering into the drum is mixed with the saturated water in the drum, it goes into the evaporator along the down pipe below the drum to absorb heat and start producing steam. Usually, only part of the water turns into steam, so the mixture of soda is flowing in the evaporator.
- The steam-water mixture leaves the evaporator and enters the upper pot barrel and is separated by the steam-water separation equipment. The water falls into the inner space of the pot barrel and enters the downcomer to continue to absorb heat and produce steam, while the steam enters the superheater from the upper part of the pot barrel and absorbs heat to turn the saturated steam into superheated steam.
- According to the three stages of steam production process corresponding to three heating surface, namely economizer, evaporator and superheater, if no superheated steam is needed, only saturated steam is needed, superheater can not be installed.
- When there is reheat steam, a reheater can be added.
